Hey Everyone!
Well, do I have a crazy thing to tell you. The last few days before Wednesday were spent saying goodbyes and getting pictures with our favorite people in Elk River. It was sad to do so, but I was ready to move on to a new area.
But I guess "new area" isn't the correct word.
I got sent back to where it all started, ASHLAND!!! I'm back in my greenie area as a DL, and it's so weird to be back here and given a second chance to do some work here. We even went over to Michigan on Thursday because we had been left with some lessons planned for that day. I tried my best to keep me being there a secret, but John, who I helped BAPTIZE, apparently reads the directory after transfers to see who is coming in! So we got to go over and chat with him for a while, and it was so good to see him again.
On Friday, we got to go to the Rust's house for some freaking sweaty service. I didn't realize how much of a blessing it was to be here in the winter. Humidity was so bad, so we were just drenched in sweat at the end. Elder Hughes, my new comp, got to scoop out some week old kittens from under that stairs so Brother Rust could get a head count of how many there were. We got to end the day with some steak and awesome food that Sister Rust made!
On Saturday, the best part for me was going to see Charmaine. It was so great to see her again. We got to chat for over an hour! It was nice to catch up in person!
And then yesterday! Church is always good, wherever you are. But it gets pretty funny when people who know you don't know that you're there! It was great being able to talk with so many great people that I would genuinely call friends.
That's the best things of the week! I so excited to be back here again. It's funny, because I asked for it, but I didn't think I'd get it!
Don't forget to look for and be a ray of light for someone else! They are everywhere, and there are always chances to brighten someone's day!
Love Y'all!
Sincerely,
Elder Buchanan
