I don't have much time to write this but here goes!!
Is there a possible way to say a lot happened, but it didn't feel like it? Cause that is kinda how I'm feeling right about now. We finished up teaching "Arnold" (Brother Adlard) and I think my companion and I ended it pretty well. We were able to place
the BoM and we even got him to do the closing prayer on his knees!! I thought that was pretty awesome!! Now we are teaching the next person, who is supposed to be harder than the last, but so far I think we've been pretty good! It's one of the Sister teachers
pretending to be a woman named Kathy who has a medical condition where her muscles tend to get inflamed if she either stands or sits for too long, or she is in the heat for too long. A big thing my companion and I need to do for her is to be caring and loving,
and I believe that we started off very well! She was very receptive of us and didn't really shy away from us when we "ran into her on the street." Sunday was pretty good, being as it was Fast and Testimony Meeting. Everyone had to share a 2 minute or less
testimony and a lot of people got pretty teary eyed. I was a part of a musical number in the middle, and since we started in the back and I was in the front, it was a chance for me to see if I was last or not. Turns out, It was just in the right order for
me to be last. My companion went before me and made it hard for me when I got up because he is a very loving person and probably the most spiritual out of our entire group. I'm so happy to have him as my companion. The past two days, our teacher for in the
mornings has been sick, so we've had a substitute teacher. It's different not having our actual teachers because I think we have made a pretty good connection with the teachers themselves. We can be able to have some fun and joke around a little bit, but still
get the work done. Just as I've heard many times here in the MTC, "Have fun and GET IT DONE!"
This is Elder Buchanan, Signing off until next time!!!

Hiya momma!! It's been a pretty long week here at the MTC, but I think I'm already starting to feel how fast time flies!! It is already February!! I'll try and upload some pictures here, but I'm not sure how many I will due to the fact that I'm
on the clock. The food has been pretty good so far. There was one meal where we had what they called Paap (I'm not sure how they spell it). It's that food I described to you guys at Patio Grill before I left that basically a tasteless blob that is meant to
be a filler for the main course of the meal. Today, we had a huge sandwich that looked VERY American and I LOVED it. But I feel like they should be giving us more African meals for us to get used to. The classes have been going well. One day, we had to bear
our testimonies about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and I think everyone was choking up when they were talking (especially me). This past Sunday I got to play the piano! I used the simplified Hymnbook they had being as I FORGOT MINE AT HOME!!! I played pretty
well, and they asked me to play again this next coming Sunday! And just so you know, I do know the Elder Jenkins, but I had no idea he was related to Brad!! I will make sure to bring that up next time!! Anyways, I'm sure you are trying to sleep right now, but I know you might wake up being as it is almost time for you to wake up.
From you Elder son,
Elder Buchanan
