Brielle - Wednesday 18 MAYO 2016‏

May 18 2016

This was a good week.

wednesday we met with a reference and she attends the methodist church but really joyed our message.

Thursday we had a zone leader and the district leader go with us to our first two lessons. We visited with Yerika and we talked about repentance and then we visited with a less active the mom of the branch presidente and she is half crazy but super funny. Then in the night we helped Lizbet create her family history account so she can work on getting some names ready to go to the temple in June, it will be her first time.

Friday we visited with  familia Agustin and we talked about the scriptures. Then we were walking up to the branch presidents house and a lady calls us in named Ramona. She has a bad leg that won´t heal. She kept talking about how expensive things are and stuff but we tried to focus on what Christ has done to help her. Then we visited with Ana Gonzalez and we went over the plan of salvation. We were suppose to have intercambios but the sister leaders never called and I didn´t mind not having them.

Saturday we went and took money out of the ATM for the last time. It was strange. We took a picture and Hna. Cortorreal took forever taking it and the ATM sucked the money back in but spit it back out. Oh man it was funny but we both had fear for a few seconds. We went to go teach the wife of a recent convert but he told us she isn´t readyto be a member but we were all well that is why we teach people. So we are going to go back next week. But the only thing is is that she doesn´t speak much spanish. They are from haiti. Then we visited with Ramona Castro again and we talked about the restoration. Then we had ingles class and we taught families. It was fun.

Sunday we went to church and it was election day so we had only one hour of church and we had to be in our house at 6. It was the hostest day we have had yet. HOTTTT!! In the shade was not a safe place either. So hot. And no one was at home because of elections so we helped a member fold clothes and organize and then she made us food. Then we chilled in the house. Oh man the power went out in the night and I woke up almost crying because I was sweating so much. So I tried to sleep and when the power came back and my fan turned on I almost literally shouted YESS!!! It was funny because my companion did the same thing but not vocally becasue we both thought that the other was sleeping.

monday we had a district meeting in Montecristi. Then we contacted a lot of people today and visied with a less active that doesn´t want to go to church we aren´t sure why then we had an FHE with the dfamily o the branch presidente the elders were in charge to the lesson. The presidente never showed up.. But it turned out just fine. Oh and it was Hna Cortorreal´s birthday!!

Tuesday we visited with Yerika and went over the gospel of Jesus Christ and then we walked around ALLLLLL DAY!! My ankle was crying at the end of the day. Then we had a meeting with the branch president to plan an activity my last saturday since they haven´t planned anything for mothers day. I hope all goes well.

Wednesday we were going to climb Morro again but the guy who took us there wasn´t able to so we went to the bech with the sisters in Montecrisit and we collected seashells. This beach was the side of a road that is literally just covered in shells it was way fun. I got super burnt on my arms and my left leg. It was good. Though.

I love you all!!1

Baylee - May 16 2016

May 16 2016

Hola Mi Familia y Mis Amigos!

Well this week was a pretty good one!

- Tuesday we had a pratice session to teach the special musical number. It was something I arranged, so I was a little nerous in how they would all treat it, but it turned out good. I played a little part on the flute, Elder Clawson played the piano, and 13 missionaries sang. It came together nicely and we presented it in the Multi-Zone conference Thrusday. Everyone said they liked it! Sadly, I was unable to record it, but it turned out good, trust me!
This week, we found a new investigator who is truly amazing! When we went to Sechura a couple of weeks ago to try and visit their Branch Council as Sister Leaders, we contacted the mototaxi driver that took us to the bus stop. This week, we decided to seek him out after our appointments fell through in the evening. We found him seated outside his house and when he saw us, he jumped up with a smile on his face. He invited us in and told us he had been hoping we would come. We began teaching and his interest was greater than anyone else I have ever taught in a first lesson. He explained to us that he had problems with alcohol, but a few weeks ago he decided he was done with it. He has been working at changing his life and he wants to find the better path. We let him know how great of a blessing this Gospel is and his eyes were shining, he was so excited. Later in the week, he wanted to come to our Noche Misional activity, but wasnt able to so. However, he still brought some fruit for the fruit salad! LOL Then we went back to visit him Saturday evening with a member, and he has been praying and asking the Lord to tell him the truth, if all that we are teaching is true. He hasnt been able to read the BoM yet, but he his getting there. Then Sunday, he came to church! Early!! He was there before Hna. Apeña and I! That is a little miracle in and of itself! And today we have invited him to an FHE in Bishops house. This investigator, Josè Luis, is awesome! I am so excited to help him get prepared for June 11th, his baptismal date!
- Wednesday morning, we got to have our first meeting with our new Ward Mission Leader. He is great! He truly wants to help us and all the people we teach, and thats the most important!
- Thursday, we had our Multi-Zone conference. It was great! The area mental health doctor and his wife came to chare some stuff with us, one missionary from each of the three zones spoke, and both Presidente and Hna. Rasmussen shared some great stuff. Along with a special musical number from each zone. Here are a few points  I wanted to sahre with you all...1) D&C 123:17 Be of good Cheer! 2) Alma 37.6-7 Through small and simple means 3) D&C 121:7-9 Peace through affliction and trial 4) Philippians 3:13-14 Focus and and move toward the eternal prize! 5) The Assistants did an example lesson and us as leaders were assigned to teach certain parts of the lesson with the Assistants as the investigators. The Spirit was crazy strong, even in a practice, as we took trusn teaching about the influence of the Spirit, Repentance, hoow to Pray, and Baptism. It was awesome!. 6) ^We are happy when we make others happy.^7) Dr. Raeside, the area mental health doctor, shared about the formula for happiness which is Event + Reaction = Result! 8) Hna. Rasmussens points for happiness are Believe, Repent, Be Obedient, and Be Grateful!
- Friday we had a Noche Misional activity that the Relief Society put on. EVeryone was asked to bring a fruit. They watched a movie nd played som games, and we took all the fruits, cut them up, and made a fruit salad! It was pretty fun! Tons of fruit!!!
- Saturday we ate lunch with Hna. Katia and her cute kids, Milexy (8) and Jeremy (3). During lunch, Jeremy brought their little tablet and began playing Frozen songs! LOL The three of us all sang along, the two of them in Spanish and me in English! :) So cute and fun!
- Sunday something pretty silly happend just before Sunday School...The two Ward secretaries Hno. Ernesto and Hno. Johnathon locked the keys in the library! LOL So we were all without manuals to teach our classes! LOL but it all worked out just fine.
- Sunday evening, we found a new investigator named Betty. She is really great also, but she told us an interesting story. Missionaries from another church once cmae and taught her and then invited her to visit their chapel. She went to investigate, and the pastor guy called all the new people to the front, so she went up. The man thn began blessing them to take out the demons and then proclaimed them all baptized. Betty was shocked and appalled! So she wants to make sure we do everything in the due time and that we dont pressure her our anything like that. Interesting stuff, no? That is something awesome about our church, we invite people to pray and receive their own testimony and answers from God, not just to believe what we say.
- Today for Pday, our District went to a Rec park called Atlantis. It has pools and stuff, which we cant enter LOL but it also has some soccer fields and a littlezoo! We got to go and look at all the awesome animals, even hold some of them. The monkeys were the coolest because we got to get rght up close and hold their hands and they were trying to take my watch and Elder Clawsons glasses LOL Then I got to hold a baby boa constrictor around my neck!! I have photos of all this, but for some reason my USB wont let me pass the phots, so they are still on my SD card. It was way neat! Then we went and ate pizza as a District. A prety good day, I might say!

Well,. thats about it for this week! Les amo bastante! Sé que estoy aquí con la guía del Espíritu y estoy tan agradecida por está oportunidad. Gracias por todo so apoyo y amor! Cuídense muchísimo! :)

Take Heart.. Be Strong.. Be Courageous.. Be Happy!

May 9 2016

As I was getting ready to write this morning I remembered a talk Elder Holland gave so I went looking for it.  It took me a few minutes, but I found it!!!  Amazing Technology again!! It was in the April 2014 conference talk, "The Cost - and Blessings -  of Discipleship"  With admiration and encouragement for everyone who will need to remain steadfast in these latter days, I say to all and especially the youth of the Church that if you haven’t already, you will one day find yourself called upon to defend your faith or perhaps even endure some personal abuse simply because you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Such moments will require both courage and courtesy on your part.
For example, a sister missionary recently wrote to me: “My companion and I saw a man sitting on a bench in the town square eating his lunch. As we drew near, he looked up and saw our missionary name tags. With a terrible look in his eye, he jumped up and raised his hand to hit me. I ducked just in time, only to have him spit his food all over me and start swearing the most horrible things at us. We walked away saying nothing. I tried to wipe the food off of my face, only to feel a clump of mashed potato hit me in the back of the head. Sometimes it is hard being a missionary because right then I wanted to go back, grab that little man, and say, ‘EXCUSE ME!’ But I didn’t.”
To this devoted missionary I say, dear child, you have in your own humble way stepped into a circle of very distinguished women and men who have, as the Book of Mormon prophet Jacob said, “view[ed Christ’s] death, and suffer[ed] his cross and [borne] the shame of the world.”1- Jacob 1:8
He continues his talk then finishes...
"Friends, especially my young friends, take heart. Pure Christlike love flowing from true righteousness can change the world. I testify that the true and living gospel of Jesus Christ is on the earth and you are members of His true and living Church, trying to share it. I bear witness of that gospel and that Church, with a particular witness of restored priesthood keys which unlock the power and efficacy of saving ordinances. I am more certain that those keys have been restored and that those ordinances are once again available through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints than I am certain I stand before you at this pulpit and you sit before me in this conference.
Be strong. Live the gospel faithfully even if others around you don’t live it at all. Defend your beliefs with courtesy and with compassion, but defend them. A long history of inspired voices, including those you will hear in this conference and the voice you just heard in the person of President Thomas S. Monson, point you toward the path of Christian discipleship. It is a strait path, and it is a narrow path without a great deal of latitude at some points, but it can be thrillingly and successfully traveled, “with … steadfastness in Christ, … a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men.”19 - 2Nephi 31:20 In courageously pursuing such a course, you will forge unshakable faith, you will find safety against ill winds that blow, even shafts in the whirlwind, and you will feel the rock-like strength of our Redeemer, upon whom if you build your unflagging discipleship, you cannot fall.20-My Favorite! Helaman 5:12 In the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen. https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2014/04/the-cost-and-blessings-of-discipleship?lang=eng
The whole talk is amazing..read it!  Elder Holland is always such a powerful, emotional speaker.  It seems he loves the youth and the missionaries especially!

Elder Uchtdorf also had an excellent quote from this last General Conference in the Priesthood Session.  He was talking about saving marriages and families, but this small quote applies to everyone in all facets of life:  I am fond of this bit of wisdom by Abraham Lincoln: “Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” It fits nicely with its scriptural companion: “Seek, and ye shall find.”3 - Matthew 7:7, Luke 11:9, 3 Nephi 14:7

Look for Happiness and you will find it!  Yes, I know that it is easier said than done sometimes.  I read in a Chicken Soup for the Soul book someone gave me (or maybe I bought it, I don't remember!) about a woman who struggled with depression and had throughout her life.  She started keeping a 'Happiness Journal'.  She required herself to write down at least one thing everyday that make her happy ( or at least had the potential to.) It may have just been a word or 2 but after some time she could look back a see all of the happiness in her life and it truly made a difference.  Elder Eyring had the same idea but instead of just something that made him happy he would write down how he had seen the hand of God in his life that day, which, I'm guessing, would be something that made him happy!

Brielle - 11 Mayo 2016‏

May 11 2016

It´s been a good week.

Last week to finish off Wednesday we went to go visit with Yorki but he was still working so we visited with his dad. It was a good lesson we talked about the importance to keep the sabbath day holy. Then we go home to a concert in front of the house. It was SUPER loud. I was able to fall asleep just made it back ground noise. But it was annoying.

Thursday we had a man who began talking with us and we were all cool he wants to learn then he began asking questions that ones has to look up to give the answers that he wants. He knows what answer he is looking for and is trying to make us look silly. It was a little aggravating but we stayed calm. And departed as friends.

Friday the sky opened and we were trapped in an investigators house. So hard was the rain falling. It was really loud. I love the rain though so I wasn´t complaining. Oh and Happy birthday Jace.

Saturday we went to teach a recent convert family and we talked about prayer and the way we should pray and the brother or friend of the mom was there with us. This family is Haitian. Their first langauge is Creole. At the end of the lesson they were talking in Creole and we were all cool, smiling and waiting. Then the mom was speaking in Spanish saying she speaks english ask in english. I had a panic like no I speak spanish. But he said in clear english. I want to change my life. I want to find Christ. I want to find His true church. I was all. We can help you. The gospel can and will change your life. And he smiled and said thank you. We are going to work on teaching him but it is going to be a bit of a challenge since my companion speaks spanish. but it is cool to see That I am an American serving in the DR speaking Spanish teaching a Haitian who speaks Creole and a little english. Shows that the messages truely is going out to all the world. Oh and we woke up this morning to our house leaking in all parts. We live on the 3rd floor and the house is new but I am pretty sure not done properly. Oh well.....

Sunday we had district conference so we met up at the church and get to montecristi. I got two letters. ONe from lauren and one from the Fremont Peak YW. It was awesome. Then the meeting began it was good. The first speaker I could not understand because he slurred his words and talked really fast. But it was good in the end. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!! I skyped with Baylee and the family for a minute. It was fun to talk with her in Spanish. It is fun to know that we have a secret lanugage inside the family. Then we had a meeting so I had to go. Then I called back later to just talk with the family. Good times good times.

Monday we had a district meeting and then we taught Ana Gonzalez about the Plan of Salvation and she likes it. Then we also shared a scripture with the YW pres. Then we shared the restoration with Edilin. She is one of the secretaries for the owner of our apartment. She always has lots of questions.

Tuesday we had an hermana Meeting in Santiago so we met up with the sisters from montecristi and showed up and ate breakfast and had a good time with a few of the other sisters of the mission. We got home about 6pm. We were sooo tired!! I woke up at 5:30am to shower and get ready we left at 7am to the Guagua. Got there about 9:30am. The ,meeting began at 10am. It is hard to pay attention with just talking but we survived.

Today we travelled again to Santiago for p-day santiago. I bought a few things. Talked with the mission doctor to start to line things out for after mision medical stuff. We are about to start heading home.

Hope you all know I love you. I have a poem I want to share.

Life is full of problems,
It´s full of ifs and buts,
And the man that´s grinning all the time
Must be completely nuts.

LOVE YOU!!

Baylee - May 9 2016

May 9 2016

Hola Mi Familia y Mis Amigos!

How is everyone doing this week? Here is what happened this week...

- This week we were forced to let three investigators go...It is always a little difficult to do that, but it is necessary to act, to do something with the message. I know that the Lord has a plan for everyone and maybe their time is a bit farther in the future.
- Wednesday, we taught a reference we received from a member family last week. his name is Wilmer and he scared us LOL because as we were walking t the capilla to meet him there, he came up along side us on his motorcycle and both Hna. Apeña and I were super startled LOL it was pretty funny. In our lessons, Obispo Cordova accompanied us. Oh Obispo...LOL he is what the Peruvians call la muerte, like when we say he is just terrible is a funny and lving way. LOL he began talking about topics that come in like the fifth or sixth visit, not the first, and Wilmer was confused, but he took it well and he even accepted to prepare for baptism. He is pretty great.
- Wednesday in the evening, we had our monthly meeting with the Stake President, Presidente Rasmussen, and the Zone Leaders. It is always interesting to see the work from that point of view. We are realy focusing in on the Area Plan, so we are trying to make a lot of changes to improve what we aredoing here in the Castilla Stake.
- Thursday was Leadership Council in the mission home with Presidente Rasmussen, Hna. Rasmussen, and all the other leaders in the mission. I love those meetings! They are always so inspiring! My favorite part was when the assistents were teaching about relying on the Spirit and making sure that our investigators really understand what the Spirit is, how it feels, the way it works. Elder Hendrix began by asking us to all look at our hands, finding the imperfections and recognizing that we as humans are imperfect, thus we need the Spirit and the Lords help to do this work and help others. We then all kneeled down together right then and there and Presidente Rasmussen said a prayer to help us have the Spirit with us to guide us and answer our questions during the meeting. The Spirit flooded the room! It was an amazing feeling! The whole meeting was great!
- Friday was the baptism of 8 year old Milexy. Her mom is our recently rescued member, Hna. Katia, so we were there to help and support. It was a bit crazy because the members forgot to fill up to faunt before hand and Hna. Apeña and I didtnt know how to do it, so it was an adventure! But we got it all figured out and Milexy was able to be baptized! Her smile was just awesome to see! Right after the baptism, the hed a little birthday party for Milexy because it was the day of her birthday too! LOL they gave us cake and some of the other treats before we hurried out to another appointment.
- The appointment after that was supposed t be with Hno. Thomas, but he wasnt hoe. His son however let us in and we taught him instead. He was so difficult! LOL He didnt want to pray...his excuse was that he doesnt know enough yet to pray. We had to explani like ten times that to pray is to learn, to receive the answers we dont yet have. he finally got it. LOL it made me laugh a little.
- Saturday morning we had our Zone meeting and shared all that we learned in the Leadership council. Oh goodness, some Elders in our Zone are so against change, of any kind. It was a bit of a struggles, but we learned a lot!
- Saturday evening, Hna. Miriam accompanied us to visit Hno. Arturo and then search for some other people. We ended up going to her house and we helped her mom, Hna. Rosabel, wash the dishes and we sat and chatted with them for a bit. The people here are so loving and welcoming. It ws makes me smile:)
- Church was good Sunday, but my favorite part of yesterday was talking to the fam and to Brielle! :) Connecting the fam even though we are in three different countries! Love it! :)
- Today, Hna. Apeña and I headed to the center of Piura. So...um ya I bought a flute. LOL It cost 480 soles which is about $165. That is a pretty darn good price! it isnt like perfect or anything of course, but it works especially for here in Perù. I am going to use it for our special musical number Thursday in the Multi-Zone conference. As we left the store, I was guarding it with my life! LOL We then went to print off some photos and ran into the Zone LEaders Elder Clawson and Elder Iglesias. We ended up changing our plans and went with the Zone Leaders, Elder Oviatt, and his mini-missionary comp. to a little pizza place in Castilla. The owner is from Spain and makes awesome stuff! We shared pizzas and played Phase 10. A good day! :)

Well, that is whats happening here. Sorry, once again the photos arent working like I need them to...I am trying to figure t out. Love you all to the moon and back! :) Be safe!

Brielle - Wednesday 4 Mayo 2016‏

May 4 2016

I am not going to say anything about time......

LAst week to finish off Wednesday we went to Yorki´s house and talked about the priesthood to help him prepare to receive the priesthood. Before he got there we were in his house with his family and the heavens opened and the rain came down. They have tin roof so it was really loud. I love it when it rains. so I was happy.

Thursday we talked about faith and repentance with Yerika and I know that this will help her. She is so strong and wants to change and so this will help. Then we went contacting because all of our lessons fell through one because a member bailed on us so we couldn´t visit a man. But we found Brandy a less active and we talked he is a good guy he wants to serve a mission but feels like people don´t take the church seriously here. In some ways he is right, but that doesn´t mean we stop going to church. The church is perfect, but we are all humans so we are never going to be perfect on our own. Then we visited with a member to finish the night off.

Friday we had a lesson with a less active that a member wanted us to go with her to visit. This less active is the primary president. I have never seen her at church in my time here in Villa Vasquez. We talked about baptism, her baptism, the sacrament, her convanents, and her calling. She was all  I know. She really is a good person but has lost a spark. Then in the night we had an activity in the house of a member far a way. We walked with some youth there because we didn´t know how to get there. We walked like 15 minutes. on the side of the highway. Andit was getting dark a little sketchy. But we made it. We got there jsut as they were going to begin but there was not room in the house so we sat on the porch listening. The youth messed around a lot. We were secretly giggling and it turned out to be good. Then we had to walk back again in the dark. luckily our phone has a flash light.

Saturday we had to go to Montecristi the next town to get our money out of the ATM the one here in Villa vASquez was basically stealing. Telling me it costs 195 pesos to take it out but it actually wanted 300 pesos so I said no. Then we taught a Recent convert family and one of their daughters turns 8 on the 8th of may so we talked about profetas and Heavenly Father.

Sunday our first lessons fell through and then the branch was going to have branch council finally but no one showed up so there wasnt but we had our meeting with the mission leader at 5 and it rained SUPER hard during the meeting we had to talk really loud. Then we went to go teach Yorki but he wasn´t at his house and didn´t show up so we went home

Monday we had our disitrict meeting and I got a package and my dead packet with things that I need to do before I go home. Yippie!!

Tuesday we went to Santiago for the 8 week meeting. We left the house at 7am waited for a GuaGua for an hour and we got to santiago at 10:30 the meeting started at 9:30. I called to let them know we were going to be late. It was a good meeting and fun to see friends. We got back to Villa Vasquez at 6 and went right to a lesson and while we were there and fisnihing up it began pouring so we were stuck in their house for a little while. Thenwe convinced them to let us leave when it let up a little. We got wet. It was fun. then we got our P-day eve ice cream and went home.

Today wednesday we did nothing. It was nice. Kind of avoiding the fact that I should visit old areas to say good bye. There is going to be a concert in front of our house tonight. They have been setting up all day. Which means. We are going to sleep well. I hope it rains. I mean we have a bar that blasts music all night long and a colmado on the corner that does they same thing so there is already music blasting. So this will be just worse. We will survive but I would rather not have to go through it.

THings are good here. I love you all!

Baylee - May 2 2016

May 2 2016

Hola Mi Familia y Mis Amigos!
I hope all is well back home as we start the beautiful month of May! Here is what happened this week here Perù!
- Tuesday evening, we had a meeting with our Bishop and a representative from the Stake, Presidente Villatris. He is awesome! He served his mission about 10 years ago, but that fire is still lit within him to make the work progress, to build the kingdom. His energy is inspiring! Truly, we all need this energy, this desire to help others and serve the Lord!
- Wednesday, Hna. Pacheco and Hna. Flores stayed with us because Hna. Flores and a bunch of other new missionaries had to head back to Lima to do some paper work. Thursday Hna. Apeña, Hna. Pacheco, and I were in a trio which made me worried at first, but it was real fun! We taught well and laughed a bunch! Hna. Pacheco is from Mexico, so we got a new perspective on a lot of things. Good times!
- During our trio Thursday, we taught a convert, Hno. Joel. We could hardly even get through the opening song we were laughing so hard! Joels Grandmas sister came in looking for his dad. She is pretty old and doesnt understnad very well, so Joel had to raise his voice and explain that his dad was sleeping. Her response was that we just dont workt hat way! She refused to nuderstnad and us three missionaries were dying from laughing as Joel tried again and again. Then Joels grandma came out of her room, and joel asked her to go help her sister, so she started tio head for the door. Joel jokingly said, run run!, and his Grandma began this super cute and hysterical grandma shuffle and we all just about died on the floor laughing! as this all wnt down we were trying to sing There is Sunshine in my Soul Today. We had a real good time! Then we got to teach abuot missionary life, which is also a awesom topic! :) A fun lesson!
- My favorite experience this week came Friday afternoon while teaching a recent convert who was baptized in August. He has been taught all of the lessons like three times over, so we have been planning different and fun activities to teach him to help him gain a better grasp of the Gospel. This week, we talked about families, specifically the resonsibility of parents to teach their children the Gospel. We read D&C 68:25-30 with him and it hit him hard as it talked about the sins being upon the heads of the parents if they dont teach their children. All of his children are grown and out of the house, living their own lives and all. However, we helped him understnad that he still has this responsibility. Once he understood, his whole presence changed. He took it so seriously. He is a little nervous to try, but he has asked us for 8 copies of the Book of Mormon to give to his children. He is really going go for it! His progress is amazing to watch! He used to be an alcoholic and now he spends his time reading the scriptures and preparing his seminary classes (he has been called as the seminary teacher)! :) Miracles are so real!
- Friday night, we had a ward mission night activity. The Young Mens was in charge, so of course is was soccer and volleyball. LOL a peruvian favorite! Hna. Apeña and I planned appointments with three investigators that came to the activity! That was pretty exciting! :)
- Saturday mornign we finally tracked down Hna. Isis, a investigator who always seems to be out and about, not at home. We taught her more about the Book of Mormon and obedience. She always is so interested and really wants to do waht will help her family! It makes me smile :) We went to pick her up for church Sunday morning, but her 2 year old boy refused to change his clothes and she ended upbeing unable to go. But it was still good for us to see that at she was all ready, changed and ready to go. Next week for sure!
- Saturday afternoon, we had to travel to Sechura to visit the Hnas there and to go observe their ward council. It was cool becuase I went with Hna. Tiñini to visit some people and we ended up visiting Hna. Esther, one of my investigators fromTalara that moved to Sechura. Her face lit up when she saw me at her door, and we took a bit to get caught up. So fun! LOL then came something a little frustrating...They cancelled ward council! UGH LOL So Hna. Apeña and I just headed back to Castilla.
- Today, our District went to the mission home to cook lunch. Once again, they asked me to decide what we should make! LOL Guess what I decided! Navajo Tacos! :) We made dough and fried to flat bread and made chili with tomatoes and guacamole and cheese. Delicious!!! :) LOL Elder Elizalde is from Argentina, Elder Pereira from Paraguay, Elder Iglesias from Chile, and Hna. Apeña from Perù, and they all loved it! Presidente and Hna. Rasmussen also loved it! Such a fun day!
Well, thats what happened this week. Once again, I am sorry that I dont have recent photos from this transfer...for some reason they dont want to pass over to my USB...but I will keep trying!
I love you all!! Keep being good!!! :):)
