I am not going to say anything about time......
LAst week to finish off Wednesday we went to Yorki´s house and talked about the priesthood to help him prepare to receive the priesthood. Before he got there we were in his house with his family and the heavens opened and the rain came down. They have tin roof so it was really loud. I love it when it rains. so I was happy.
Thursday we talked about faith and repentance with Yerika and I know that this will help her. She is so strong and wants to change and so this will help. Then we went contacting because all of our lessons fell through one because a member bailed on us so we couldn´t visit a man. But we found Brandy a less active and we talked he is a good guy he wants to serve a mission but feels like people don´t take the church seriously here. In some ways he is right, but that doesn´t mean we stop going to church. The church is perfect, but we are all humans so we are never going to be perfect on our own. Then we visited with a member to finish the night off.
Friday we had a lesson with a less active that a member wanted us to go with her to visit. This less active is the primary president. I have never seen her at church in my time here in Villa Vasquez. We talked about baptism, her baptism, the sacrament, her convanents, and her calling. She was all I know. She really is a good person but has lost a spark. Then in the night we had an activity in the house of a member far a way. We walked with some youth there because we didn´t know how to get there. We walked like 15 minutes. on the side of the highway. Andit was getting dark a little sketchy. But we made it. We got there jsut as they were going to begin but there was not room in the house so we sat on the porch listening. The youth messed around a lot. We were secretly giggling and it turned out to be good. Then we had to walk back again in the dark. luckily our phone has a flash light.
Saturday we had to go to Montecristi the next town to get our money out of the ATM the one here in Villa vASquez was basically stealing. Telling me it costs 195 pesos to take it out but it actually wanted 300 pesos so I said no. Then we taught a Recent convert family and one of their daughters turns 8 on the 8th of may so we talked about profetas and Heavenly Father.
Sunday our first lessons fell through and then the branch was going to have branch council finally but no one showed up so there wasnt but we had our meeting with the mission leader at 5 and it rained SUPER hard during the meeting we had to talk really loud. Then we went to go teach Yorki but he wasn´t at his house and didn´t show up so we went home
Monday we had our disitrict meeting and I got a package and my dead packet with things that I need to do before I go home. Yippie!!
Tuesday we went to Santiago for the 8 week meeting. We left the house at 7am waited for a GuaGua for an hour and we got to santiago at 10:30 the meeting started at 9:30. I called to let them know we were going to be late. It was a good meeting and fun to see friends. We got back to Villa Vasquez at 6 and went right to a lesson and while we were there and fisnihing up it began pouring so we were stuck in their house for a little while. Thenwe convinced them to let us leave when it let up a little. We got wet. It was fun. then we got our P-day eve ice cream and went home.
Today wednesday we did nothing. It was nice. Kind of avoiding the fact that I should visit old areas to say good bye. There is going to be a concert in front of our house tonight. They have been setting up all day. Which means. We are going to sleep well. I hope it rains. I mean we have a bar that blasts music all night long and a colmado on the corner that does they same thing so there is already music blasting. So this will be just worse. We will survive but I would rather not have to go through it.
THings are good here. I love you all!
